ABOUT ME

Regner, art fetishist

Being a citizen of Salzburg, a city dedicated to arts, crafts and tourism, I found a couple of interesting places for photography. At first glance, originating from the countryside, to me this city seemed quite crowded and strange,
which completely changed, when I grew up to live there all on my own.
A tsunami of impressions struck me, making it hard for my 16 year old mind to possibly handle the situation, so i had to keep moments in a frame,
categorize them by color and turn them into art.
(which was also what our photography teacher wanted us to do back then)

Waiter

Extravagant and historical were the first descriptive words that came to my mind when I went photographing and exploring the city, but as I already thought,
it held so much more in store than just tourists and old buildings.
Working as a waiter, I strongly tightened the connection between the city and me
as I got to know all kinds of different people while serving cold brew at night and hot coffee by day. I also got a lot of insight into the people’s minds and behaviours, which made me conclude: Salzburg seemed to be as wicked as artsy on one side and as natural as rough on the other, with a lovely urban but also history imprinted touch.

Composer

Right when i became a little more sophisticated in terms of photography, I knew exactly what I wanted to express. Colors, facial expressions, shapes, moods and looks turned into my main point of interest. Composition, aligning and adjusting assets began to be less of a technical challenge, but more of a fun and crazy way to help me express something. The urge to put it our there, made me compose, not only with also with often manipulated pictures, but also illustrations, Layouts, a lot of music and my pencils a lot of the time.

Multimedial mind

Next to being „a people guy“, I turned into quite the opposite, being a huge fan of gaming (which can probably be seen in the some of my works).
Thanks to that I’ve gotten into global networking due to the games‘ widely spread playerbases and my interest to connect with whomever.
During this time i collaborated with people around the globe a lot, to not only get us out there, but also just for fun.
Thanks to my, in the real world very introverted phase, I learned how important networking and helping each other out, whilst completing each others abilities and being able to communicate on advanced levels.

and Cross-thinker.

Due to the collection of memories I created time wasn’t quite in my favour and so my school grades dropped tremendously while I was an outsider, aling with family issues and owning a somewhat more sensetive personality, I needed a way to cope with myself.
To this day, i think this was the time in my life in which I learned to admit my temper and my weaknesses while seeing every opportunity there was to learn and growth. Art has always, ever been a form of psychological help, as well as expertise for me, since it felt like pulling myself out of a swamp by my own horse-tail, but it can also be the vine, that pulls you back in.
